AJ Jenkins is a big-hearted twelve-year-old who feels most at home on his mountain bike on Montana's forest trails. But his dad is out of work, and the family is in financial trouble. An inherited estate and new job in a German coastal town tears AJ away from his best friend and everything he knows and loves and plops him into a place where everything is strange and unfamiliar. Just when AJ thinks his life is over, Bodo, a German boxer puppy, shows up unannounced. When AJ discovers Bodo’s hidden talents, they develop a bond that will change AJ's life forever…if only he can keep the rambunctious dog out of trouble!
